About the founder of Happy Bikes

At Happy Bikes it's all about high-quality bikes and guided tours through Hamburg. Our founder Willi is a man with many years of experience in the bicycle industry and has an impressive career as a bicycle guide on a cruise ship.

As a trained retail salesman specializing in bicycle and sporting goods, Willi has turned his knowledge and passion for bicycles into his profession. During his time as a bicycle guide for a cruise company from 2007-2013, he led guided bicycle tours in over 50 countries and 200 destinations worldwide and was able to introduce his guests to the culture and sights. Willi realized that there is no better way to get to know a new destination than by bicycle. The distances are too far on foot and too boring from a bus window. Cycling is an experience for all the senses. Willi was particularly impressed by the bicycle tour through Istanbul. On the bicycle tour past the spice bazaar, you could hear the traders haggling, smell the smells, be right in the middle of it all and perceive everything much more intensely. That was his motivation to make it possible for everyone in Hamburg to get to know the city in a special way.

Willi founded his first company in 2014 and is currently also photographer employed. With his new company Happy Bikes, he wants to offer high-quality bikes to everyone who wants to get to know Hamburg Lend Our range includes a large selection that provides the right bike for every need.
