2. Discover Hamburg on a guided bike tour

You don't know where to go yet? The easiest and most relaxed way to get to know Hamburg and its hidden corners is on a guided bike tour. Simply come to the meeting point and let yourself be guided through Hamburg in a relaxed manner. No more annoying navigation with the map or cell phone and you can also receive exciting information about the city and the sights. We at Happy Bikes offer various Bicycle city tours on, our classic tour “The best of Hamburg” is a particularly popular bike tour. In addition to the Speicherstadt and HafenCity, we also go to the Landungsbrücken, St.Pauli and the town hall. This bike tour takes place every Friday at 3 p.m. and every Saturday and public holiday at 11 a.m. Registration is required.

3. Pay attention to your safety

Your safety is important to us, so take care of yourself when cycling. The cycle path network has been continuously expanded in recent years. If there are cycle paths, use them. Unfortunately, many pedestrians also use the bike path, so please be a little considerate of each other. If you come to a pedestrian zone, we recommend pushing your bike. Even though it may not look cool, use a bicycle helmet. If you rent a bike from us, you will receive a helmet free of charge upon request.

4. Taking your bikes on public transport

If you want to take your bikes on the train, you can do so free of charge and do not need a separate ticket. Just make sure that you don't transport the bikes between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the afternoon; during these times the trains are reserved for commuters due to rush hour. This does not apply on Sundays and public holidays, when you can take your bikes with you all day. Bicycles can be transported on buses depending on space, but unfortunately they are almost always full.

With these tips nothing should stand in the way of your bike tour through Hamburg.
